How to create a branded search page

To create a branded search page you must have an active ATP account with the Branded Search Manager role. If you need an account, email recruiter-help@usajobs.gov.

1. Send a request to become a Branded Search Manager

  • Email recruiter-help@usajobs.gov to request the Branded Search Manager role.
  • Make sure the agency where you currently work is listed in your ATP account. Sign into ATP and go to My account to see your agency.
  • Include in your request if the agency listed in your account is incorrect or if you need to update it to a sub-element of your organization.

2. Create a banner

  • The banner will appear at the top of your branded search page.
  • The banner must be a .jpg, .png, .gif, or .webp with a maximum image height is 250px or 125px if made in Illustrator. There is no recommended width, however standard resolution is 1366px.

3. Send a request to create a URL

  • Email recruiter-help@usajobs.gov to create a URL for the branded search page.
  • You can request a customized URL for your page (i.e. vetjobs.usajobs.gov).
  • All URLS will end in usajobs.gov.
  • Once you create a URL, you can’t change it.

4. Sign into ATP and create your branded search page

  • Go to the Branded search section.
  • Add your banner.
  • Choose the filters you would like to appear on your page.
  • Click Publish.

Who can create or edit a branded search page?

Only users with the branded search manager role can create or edit a branded search page. The USAJOBS program office is responsible for granting this access. We recommend this role is reserved for individuals who support hiring and recruitment initiatives within their agency and are not already designated as an agency administrator within ATP.

What size banner should I use?

The banner must be a .jpg, .png, .gif, or .webp with a maximum image height is 250px or 125px if made in Illustrator. There is no recommended width, however standard resolution is 1366px.

Can I imbed a video into the branded search page?

Imbedding videos is currently not available, but we may consider this for a future enhancement.
